Terms of Service

1. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to agree to these Terms. The Services are offered only to people in the United States.

Give us accurate account information, keep access to your email and devices secure, and tell us if you believe someone has used your account without permission. You are responsible for activity under your account.

2. What AskIdeal does

AskIdeal recommends and explains products. A recommendation should include the reasons for it and sources you can inspect. AskIdeal uses automated systems, including AI models, and their answers can be incomplete, outdated, or wrong even when they sound confident.

Use the reasons and sources to check important facts. AskIdeal is not a substitute for professional medical, legal, financial, safety, or other expert advice.

3. Merchants, products, and transactions

AskIdeal does not purchase, sell, ship, deliver, return, warrant, or fulfill products. A merchant, marketplace, manufacturer, or other third party controls each product listing and transaction, including price, taxes, availability, product condition, safety information, payment, delivery, returns, refunds, and warranties.

Product details can change after AskIdeal reads them. Check the merchant’s current listing and terms before acting. A link or mention does not mean a merchant or product endorses AskIdeal, or that AskIdeal endorses every claim made by that third party.

4. How AskIdeal may be paid

Some product links may be part of an affiliate or referral program. If so, AskIdeal may receive compensation when someone follows a link or completes a qualifying action with the merchant. The merchant remains responsible for the transaction.

Compensation does not replace AskIdeal’s judgment: recommendations still need reasons and sources. AskIdeal may change or end a commercial relationship, and no relationship guarantees that a product will be recommended. The Affiliate Disclosure is AskIdeal’s complete current list of active affiliate networks and merchant programs.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use the Services to break the law, violate another person’s rights, submit content you lack permission to use, deceive or harm people, distribute malware or spam, probe or bypass security controls, overload the Services, scrape them without permission, reverse engineer protected parts of them where law allows this restriction, or use automated access outside interfaces AskIdeal makes available for that purpose.

Do not present an AI-generated answer as verified fact when it has not been checked, or use the Services to make a high-impact decision about another person.

6. Your content

You keep the rights you have in questions, messages, feedback, and other content you submit. You give AskIdeal a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, process, adapt, and transmit that content only as reasonably needed to provide, maintain, protect, and improve the Services and comply with law. You confirm that you have the rights needed to submit it.

This license does not permit AskIdeal to sell your content or use your shopping conversations or Fit Memory to train a general-purpose AI model.

AI-generated material may resemble material provided to other people and may include third- party material. Subject to applicable law and third-party rights, you may use the responses AskIdeal provides to you. Feedback may be used without payment or obligation.

7. AskIdeal and third-party rights

The Services, including their software, design, branding, and original content, are owned by AskIdeal or its licensors and are protected by applicable laws. These Terms give you a limited, personal, revocable right to use the Services; they do not transfer those rights to you. Product names, images, descriptions, reviews, and merchant marks belong to their respective owners.

8. Changes, suspension, and termination

AskIdeal may add, remove, or change features, impose reasonable limits, or discontinue part of the Services. You may stop using the Services at any time. AskIdeal may suspend or end access when reasonably necessary to address a Terms violation, security or legal risk, harm to others, or discontinuation of the Services.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including rights, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute-related provisions, continue to apply.

9. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services and their answers are provided “as is” and “as available.” AskIdeal disclaims implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted availability. AskIdeal does not warrant a product, merchant, listing, price, source, recommendation, or outcome. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AskIdeal and the people and providers supporting the Services will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or opportunities, arising from the Services, a recommendation, a third party, or a product transaction.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AskIdeal’s total liability for claims relating to the Services is limited to the greater of the amount you paid AskIdeal for the Services during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or US $100. These limits do not apply where applicable law does not allow them, including liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

11. Disputes and general terms

Before filing a legal claim, you and AskIdeal agree to make a reasonable good-faith effort to resolve the dispute for 30 days after written notice. Send notice to [email protected]. Either side may still seek urgent injunctive relief or bring an eligible individual claim in small claims court.

Delaware law governs these Terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except that mandatory protections of the state where you live continue to apply. Claims that are not resolved informally or in small claims court must be brought in a state or federal court in Delaware. These Terms do not require arbitration or waive a right to participate in a class action.

If a court finds part of these Terms unenforceable, the remaining terms remain in effect. A failure to enforce a term is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms without AskIdeal’s consent; AskIdeal may transfer them as part of a merger, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or operation of the Services, subject to applicable law.

12. Contact and changes to these Terms

Questions about these Terms can be sent to [email protected]. AskIdeal may update these Terms as the Services or law changes. The date at the top will change. AskIdeal will provide at least 30 days’ notice by email or in the Services before a change that materially reduces your rights takes effect, unless law, security, or an urgent service risk requires faster action. Continuing to use the Services after updated Terms take effect means the updated Terms apply.
